Lippert, Kinro, announce Elkhart expansion plans

Two subsidiaries are planning major expansions to their businesses in Elkhart County, Indiana, which is typically considered to be the RV Capital of the World.

Lippert Components and Kinro Manufacturing are both subsidiaries of Drew Industries, which makes a wide variety of RV parts and accessories. The two companies are investing heavily in new facilities located in nearby Goshen and Middlebury, respectively.

Lippert is planning to spend about $650,000 on new machinery and other equipment as they expand production. Meanwhile, Kinro is investing a whopping $3.5 million on a brand new facility, as well as additional equipment and machinery. Lippert specializes in steel accessories like stabilizing jacks and steps, while Kinro mainly focuses on doors and windows for RVs.

"We are extremely pleased to continue to expand the operations of both Lippert Components and Kinro in Indiana," said Jason Lippert, CEO of both Lippert and Kinro. "The state of Indiana, Elkhart County and the cities of Goshen and Middlebury have shown a strong commitment to partnering with companies like ours in the recreational vehicle industry so that our industry can not only rebound from the economic downturn but also thrive in the future."
