GPS manufacturer Magellan has revealed several new features for their RoadMate Pro 9165RT, which was designed specifically for RVers.
This GPS device already includes features specific to RV owners, such as an integrated directory of Good Sam/Trailer Life campgrounds. The device also takes into account height and weight restrictions when calculating routes.
The new version of the RoadMate Pro will feature an expanded directory with more detailed information on campgrounds. Drivers will also be able to customize the height/weight feature for their particular vehicle, choosing what class of RV they own.
Magellan has also added a lineup of accessories to complement the GPS device, such as a backup camera system that can hook up to the GPS display, an extension cord power adapter and a 12-volt hardware kit.
"The new features and accessories of the RoadMate Pro 9165T are aimed at making travel for RV drivers safer, easier and more enjoyable," said Sunnie Tsai, director of product marketing for Magellan. "The RoadMate Pro was already designed with RVers in mind, but with added customizability, more complete campground information and many useful accessories, it's the ultimate navigation tool for drivers of RVs and other large vehicles."
