The Eyes Have It
- What kind of equipment will I need?
- Long lens – 300–600 mm
- Close up lens for bugs, plants, etc.
- Tips
- Focus on Eyes – if the eyes are not in focus, it is a bad picture.
- Use a monopod or tripod whenever possible
- Use mirror lockup for extremely long shots if there is time.
- Bracket your shots since you won’t get a second chance to shoot most animals.
- Be Patient – they move at their own pace, not yours.
- Birds often require a fast suhtter speed. They move quickly. In flight they are difficult to stop without blur.
- Your lens choice depends on your sensor size.
