Summer Crockin’
- The girls cook up some great summer time recipes! Baby Back Ribs and Black and Blue Cobbler!
- My Crock O’ Ribs submitted by Maggie Cerro (pg. 308) from Slow Cookin’ Companion
- Ingredients:
- 3-5 lbs. baby back ribs, cut to fit in the slow cooker
- Chop 1-2 large onions
- 2 c. sliced mushroom, optional
- 1 jar regular barbecue sauce
- 2-4 T. chopped garlic
- 3/4-1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. red wine, optional. Remember, the alcohol does cook out.
- Black and Blue Cobbler pg. 364 Directions
- Ingredients:
- 1 Cup of All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 Cups of Sugar, divided
- 1 Teaspoon of Baking powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 2 Tablespoons of Milk
- 2 Tablespoons of Vegetable oil
- 2 Cups of Fresh or frozen blackberries
- 2 Cups of Fresh or frozen blueberries
- 3/4 Cup of Water
- 1 Teaspoon of Grated orange peel
